Speaking of events that got little to no coverage, go all the way back to the Saudi government being completely "reworked" right after Trump came in.

I remember thinking at the same time how strange it was that there was no sentiment programming in the reporting. The public was pretty much permitted to think of it however they wanted.

Later with Khashoggi's killing I think it's probable that was a planned narrative/operation. Reporters die or are murdered all the time (e.g. Christopher Sign) and it's regularly covered up to protect narrative.
