Anons, some serious datefaggery here. But I think I found something.
Working with some contacts, I discovered that the DOD Skill-bridge program is being defunded effective 28 July. This is the crown jewel of DOD programs for transitioning service-members and would be a political disaster (arguably one of the few things both parties would agree on due to massive political interest groups who benefit).
Allowing this program to end would only be due to a known reason that it is no longer needed.
In a separate but equally disturbing alignment of dates, the Secretary of Defense responded to Congressional Inquiries (don’t ask me how I know) asking about personnel numbers due to impact of vaccine separations. SecDef responded that numbers would not be available until after 18 July.

I think for research, because this is broad…need to see if there are any other dates that line up on or after July 28th, specifically as it relates to either personnel policy, contracts that are expiring, or information that is to be made available after that date. It may seem innocuous or mundane, but it might help frame this better.
