Just take a large mirror, lots of clumps of sage, possibly dill and hand them as gifts to the protestors. Reflect their insanity with the mirror and give them gifts of herbs that they will accept as gifts but will not understand the meaning of. Don't enter into any converse, just hand out gifts that they will take, undermind them at a spiritual level but are beyond their comprehension.
