I agree to some extent that the "leak" has, in last few days, been some distraction from Ukraine/Durham , etc., but only a limited one. The bigger "get" the Democrats may hope to gain with this latest, convenient "leak" may be to shore up the feminist vote for the mid-terms by injecting Pro-Choice, a "bread and butter" issue they often use to rally votes? The Democrat Party has lost some Black & Hispanic support already. Now, men competing in women's sports, as transgenders, may not be sitting well with feminists in their polling, What's next? Will the women, give up more hard fought ground next & need to also compete against this newer, novel "minority of former men" in the workplace too? Another "get" Dems to gain with the "leak" is the opportunity to hire the usual outside agitators & Antifa-types to gin up "grassroots," not-so-peaceful protests to "demonstrate" anger & support for Roe (with plausible deniability).
