Actually a lot of this post is based on what u/lonewulf figured out. He did great analysis. I asked if he would mind reposting some of it here. If he has time or if you don't mind looking through his comments there is an excellent summary of it. He figured out about the "ghost army" and put a lot of the research together that I used in this post.

Oh, and if you are having trouble reading a graphic, then right-click on it, choose "open image in new tab" and then go to the newly-made tab. You can then enlarge the graphic to make reading easier.
