ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! I am JUST now able to go back outside feeling safe that it is no longer the winter of death for me!! A little late I know but, had to make damn sure it was well into spring before doing so.. better safe than being caught in the Winter of Death for the unvaccinated!!
yes, it really sounds preposterous when we think he said that to 'us';) that we would be the ones getting sick.
but what if it's a 'winter of death' because we, the unvaccinated, are Surrounded by it?
I know of several people who have died since he said that, and at least 15 since the vaccines began. really was a bleak winter even though I'm healthier than I've been in a long time.
My mom and my older sister died but, from cancer, not no flu or covid. Been a tough last couple of years.
sorry to hear that:( hard to lose one person. so more than one/in a short amount of time, is traumatic. really does seem like we're in an invisible war.
Mom's day was hard this year. There is a small blessing in those losses though, I have/had one sister who married a Canadian and I had not seen in 10yrs, she is very much a Trump hating left. She did not make it back after older sister died last year but, once mom started to decline she asked to be picked up at the border a couple months ago. It is very good to have her back and even though we clash on many topics, she has "caved in" and is actually listening now and agreeing with much of it and seeing the bs for what it is. We never part without a "love you sis" no matter if we got into any form of WTF conversation during the visit. If she had not come back "home" I as well do not think I could of handled the loss of mom as sturdy as I have and been able to take care of stuff.
