I probably wouldn’t go if invited either. This particular gentleman could also have responded in a more gentlemanly way and still not planned to attend. That is what I’m trying to address.

Yeah, I see your point however to NOT give any honor to a fool is actually Biblical. There tons of scriptures about Fools being undeserving of any respect.
