I am not sure what purpose tea serves, but OJ can be a high allergen for newborns. I remember giving these instructions out to mothers in the hospital, minus the tea and OJ-back in the 1970’s-Early 1980’s. That is about when SMA, SIMILAC, and Enfamil arose on the scene. Also when hospitals in the 1980’s began to be more money oriented than patient oriented.
