When my husband was asking our Dr. for exemption from clot shot because he’d had 2 minor blood clots (TIAs) strokes with unknown origins. Our Dr pleaded that it was still better for him to get the clot shot because of his age (68). I asked if he got 2 TIAs for no reason, what sense did it make to get a shot that could produce a clot on its own??It would be safer to not be put in a position to possibly get a clot from an unknown vaccine? After a lot of tears she finally relented. Heard from her the other week to see how we were doing and apologized for recommending the shot after she had heard of so many people getting them. Said she would have felt horrible if anything had happened and will advocate for her patients from now on and not blindly follow scientific literature. She has regained our trust!
