Trump was a business man, and a successful one at that. He didn't get to where he is without being smart.
I can fully get onboard with the idea that, sometimes, you just have to pick the not-so-ideal candidate in order to strategically win out. One thing I learned as a young lad was that sometimes you hire people to take them off the market from your competitors, even if you have no immediate use for them.
Do we make the wrong choices picking our staff from time to time? Absolutely we do. We are human, and we make mistakes. I once trained someone into being a good project manager, but I found out about a small character flaw in him. I was disappointed, but again, I can teach technical skills but I can't teach anyone to be ethical. You either have ethics or you don't.
So my opinion, and strictly my own opinion only, is that Trump surrounded himself with some questionable characters before he was in office, when he was in office, and when he supposedly left the office. Perhaps he misjudged their characters, perhaps he is playing 5D chess or whatever. I don't know the answer to that, but I am fine with the simplest explanation that he just misjudged the POS Oz.
As to anyone thinking I'm dooming in my thinking, I don't believe Biden is in the WH. I actually called the WH days after the supposed inauguration and got the recorded message that the office was closed indefinitely. I knew things weren't what they were made to be by the MSM, but at the same time, we are still walking into totalitarianism with speed planned by the cabal and normies aren't waking up fast enough. The cost is starting to outweigh the benefits.
Yes, I've made my share of mistakes hiring seemingly good people. I've also been pleasantly surprised with people who I hadn't expected had the skill set to excel but they certainly did. So, I'm with you on that. As to Oz being a POS, I'm not sure and neither were a lot of PA voters. But I don't have a window into Trump's or Oz's brain and what they've discussed. My sense is OZ had name recognition and was certainly liked by the left. Whether that translates into he's one of them, I'm not so sure.
Oz must be a smart guy and a brave one to vocally come out pro-life, pro 2nd Amendment and he does have a medical background. I can conger up a couple scenarios where Oz could be very helpful in getting specific legislation passed that Trump wants done. Both of them have experience with media and entertainment industries. They both excelled in a place where the political right are considered persona non grata. That could come in very handy as Trump pushes into social media and beyond.
There's an old saying that it's not what you're saying but what you're doing. I'm willing to overlook old video clips and soundbites of things either Trump or Oz have said if the do the right thing. Trump showed what he was able to accomplish when everything was stacked against him. I want to see what he can accomplish with MAGA people installed in and controlling both houses of Congress. The potential Trump and his people have when unimpeded by the left could be incredible. For that reason I will not judge Oz or anyone else Trump endorses based on past impressions. This will be a new day and a new game. I want Trump, his team and all of us to WIN, WIN, WIN!!
