The AstraZeneca vaccine uses a chimpanzee adenovirus - could it have been a source for this? As far as I’m aware you don’t purify these things perfectly. Polio vaccines in the past did have problems with SV40 contamination.

We know there were issues caught in at least one plant with the other viral vector vaccine.
Could be no connection of course - could be travel related & there is a suggestion that it’s an STD, but still.
If there is an outbreak - turns out the FDA approved a monkeypox vaccine in 2019 🤡
Edited to add: you just got your first case in US.
Sarracenia purpurea, get you some. Native Americans used it to treat smallpox, do a search for it and you will see published articles via pubmed and proquest re: it's efficacy in preventing viral replication of all pox viruses and HPV/EBV/Herpes and their associated cancers....another cure that was suppressed? I have some in tincture form. do your research on suppliers of this to make sure it's pure extract and not fake from china or something...get it soon before supplies run out. I just re-ordered mine and got the last three available....
