This doesn't surprise me at all. Fort Hood has had a slew of problems over the past decade or so. Shootings in 2009 and 2014. Their sexual assault prevention officer was dishonorably discharged in 2015 for running a prostitution ring. In 2020 alone, 39 soldiers died or went missing (most connected to sexual assault, some committed suicide due to being assaulted, others appears to have been killed for sexual assault).
Not necessarily saying that putting everything on blast on social media is the best option, but I could certainly see the higher ups not wanting to make this stuff public as they already fired/suspended 14 officers due to allowing a dangerous environment on their military base or some such reasoning.
