It was bigger than Christmas in 2020. Then no one cared in 2021. Does Juneteenth only occur in election years?

It's a made-up black holiday that the whole country is supposed to celebrate on June 19 just because of Texas freeing slaves in June years ago. They don't even celebrate when their own ancestors were freed, especially the ones living in northern states that were freed not too long before the War of Northern Aggression.
It's not logical to use an obscure date in Texas as a worldwide holiday, when there are many other dates more deserving. It's about like Kwanzaa.
Well ok then, if my company adds it to days off we get to choose alternant holidays by majority. Pretty sure the crew will choose Fat Tuesday over Juneteenth
