Nothing about having to carry and keep charged a phone screams "convenience" to me. I had one for a couple of years. Played a few games. Made some calls. Threw it in the trash because it was boring.
Now they want to encourage me to carry one around just to identify myself? That's crazy. You don't care who I am anyway, and if it's that important to be "precise," my fingerprints are on file.
I hike trails and don't always run inside when it rains. I don't need that paranoid burden of "oh nooooss...muh phone'll git wet!" always on my mind.
Just, the thing about phones is--if I wanted to carry around something I had to protect and feed all the time, I'd just have a baby. At least they turn into something useful.
