The police did nothing other than to stop frantic parents from saving their own children. Assuming the whole thing isn’t fake but I still have a hard time with that.
This made me think, the simple fact that civilians aren't allowed to go into buildings to try and rescue other human beings (no matter what the emergency), must surely, psychologically impact us to believe that we are perhaps more incapable of performing heroic actions because 'the police have to take care of that'. Is this just another rule we've been spun for decades to try to separate humanity and their sense of helping the community? There would be no one more motivated to save their child than a parent who wants to.
