Everyone does not have the option of homeschooling their children. Many people have both parents working just to survive so let's not judge them for doing the best they can. I homeschooled my kids when they went back to school with masks on. However, my daughter likes going to school, mostly for the social aspect but that's fine with me. She goes to a Montessori charter. I considered homeschooling my son again in the fall..He needs to be in a special Ed class. I could absolutely provide him with a muuuch better education than public school but his goals are all social and emotional and he cannot learn those skills at home alone with me. Yes I can get involved with a co op and play groups but for now we have chosen a school for him. ALL teachers are not wacka doodles! My sons teachers for the last two years have been amazing and the school staff has gone above and beyond, treating him like one of their own children. Please stop bad mouthing all the teachers and school systems,.it's no different that the libs saying all cops are bad. We all make the decisions that we feel are in our children's best interest. Now with regards to arming teachers, I'm not sure that is a good idea but maybe there should be 2-3 ppl on staff who are trained and there is a gun safely locked up in the event that it's needed.
