Western nations that try to punish others with economic sanctions are overestimating their strength, Vladimir Putin said at the Eurasian Economic Forum on Thursday.
"More and more countries in the world want and will have independent policies," the president said. "No 'world police officer' can stop this natural global process. No one is that strong."
"They face challenges within their nations, and I hope they realize that this policy has absolutely no prospects," the Russian leader said, referring to the US and its Western allies...

Very true.
I do agree that the route to world peace and unity will be through nationalism. A sort of world federalism. There will probably be a forum for nations to discuss issues, but it will not have any enforcement expectations like the UN. Each nation will be able to go it's own way within it's borders. Some will have horrible leaders that interfere in the human rights of their populations, but many free nations will serve as beacons of light to the oppressed, which will make it hard for the oppressors to continue. Over time, I think freedom will grow over an ever expanding portion of the population.
So Putin sounds like a U.S. President and Biden like a Commie hack. What reality am I in?
