OP I think you are on to something. If you look at the target market of Daniel defense is LEO/MIL/Veterans. Unless you are an extreme geardoe civilian you wouldn't even know this company existed.

Typically these false flags use cheap ARs but, as OP kinda pointed out, hardly anyone can get a hold of guns right now. I wonder if they needed this false flag so bad that the groomers just gave him their own guns. That's the only thing that would make sense to me.
