Official reason: A janitor at the New Mexico solar observatory that was mysteriously shuttered earlier this month had allegedly been downloading and distributing child pornography

Next -- this Daily Grail article has all the keywords for a cover up and debunking; the headline is a question, "a persistent rumour", "downright conspirational"

Quora - "Why did 100s of space observatories suddenly shut down recently?" this gave the conspiracy hoaxers a perfect opportunity to spread their vile & debilitating tripe to the gullible HURR DURR!!

My memory is vague, but I know that several observatories were being closed at that time. Not just one!

Did any one of you know more about what might have happened in 2018?

I remember the conspiracy subreddit stumbled upon some fascinating stuff about this and some of it was scrubbed. Something to do with the Chinese piggybacking off our systems to spy on our military.

That was just one of the many possibilities the deep divers came to. I can't remember the others off the top of my head. It seemed pretty important at the time though.

I think one of the other theories was that the deep state used these towers to communicate, and the good guys cut their method of communication off.
