War quest/opinion

Many here have fought in some “war” thru the millitary. Many have been injured and some severly.
Have any of you ever watched documentaries or news clips and look for a family member or comrade in hopes to see them? I do with hopes to see my gpa at Iwo.

I have a cousin mentioned by name and photo in a book about a bad week in Viet Nam. He’s alive and mostly OK but it was still a heartbreaking read. Another cousin was watching a WWII documentary when his father pointed himself out in one of the scenes.
