They are doing this as a psy op to the masses to make it easier when they claim that the machines were hacked and it wasn't malicious actors affiliated with the DNC. In fact, I bet they will blame Russia or China, and they will do this as soon as evidence pointing to dnc members doing ballot manipulation is revealed (e.g. arrests)
