In my youth I worked there—we had a customer get a vanilla bean frap every morning (milk, vanilla, sugar). One day at the drive thru she said to my coworker, “I need my coffee today!” And he said, “There’s no coffee in that.” She freaked out and shouted, asking why she felt energy and then got tired later in the day and my coworker simply said, “You’ve been sugar crashing.” SHE WAS LIVID. YOUR DRINK IS WHITE AS SNOW AND YOU THINK THERE’S COFFEE IN IT?
Starbucks is well known in the coffee nerd world as not being real shots, etc. The company is garbage and doesn’t care about sexual harassment—if firing a creeper affects the schedule, then it’s not done. I haven’t been there for years. I like my local Christian shop that spreads the gospel while they travel to find coffee farmers.
Edit: By the way my final straw was a 60+ year old male customer explaining to me how he has a Victoria’s Secret credit card and takes his granddaughters there to shop. He explained that he’s different, he’s not quite a man and not quite a woman…
