Interesting points to keep in mind about the Exodus that may be important for us to remember;
God did not tolerate complaining. He had a bunch of his people killed for it.
He wants us to ask him for what we need. So when times get tough, and you are running out of food and water, stop complaining about the government and start praying and asking God to provide what you need. He will send you trials to teach you to rely on him. (Also, he didn’t want people stockpiling manna. That was based on fear not faith.).
Obey his Laws. Do not think sin is somehow okay now because it makes people feel better about themselves. Stand firm on God’s word.
When the Israelites came into the Promised Land, they had to fight to gain and keep the land.
4a. Whenever people got complacent, the enemies would attack.
4b. Whenever people stopped having faith in God, the enemies would attack.
4c. Whenever people sinned, they would fail. You have to obey God in every detail. So repent quickly and get back on track. The evil ways of the Pagans cannot be tolerated in the church.
4d. Battles are not won conventionally. Pray. Praise God. Let Him fight the battles His way.
7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
