I bet they knew what the verdict was likely to be.
I bet that there is much going on that we aren't aware of.
And I bet there's is much still to be told with Durham's investigations and indictments.
This might look like an L... but could it be setting up for a bigger W?

OK, why is the failure to get a conviction necessary? I understand why the trial might be necessary, but why not get the conviction while you are at it? And we need to stop with this “we can bring it up in a later trial“ bullshit because that’s not even necessarily true. Just because we exposed it and it’s on the record, it’s absolutely not a guarantee that we can even broach that subject in a “future trial” if there’s ever going to be one. That’s a lie that needs to stop.
