You do realize Steve Benson the famous political cartoonist often posts there? He used to be known for his ultraconservative pro-patriot cartoons in many newspapers.
Today Steve Benson is flaming liberal cuck who promotes LGBTQ shit and bashes Trump at every turn. But that's not all. He also tips his long-dead grandfather, who served as Eisenhower's agriculture secretary and warned us about the dangers of Communism, and whose two sons (one of whom was Steve's father) were John Birch Society members.
His grandfather was also Mormon church leader, until a stroke incapacitated him.
I have long thought that the greatest sin committed by those two evil men, smith and young, was separating their followers from God, the father, God, the son and the Holy Ghost. Reactionary atheists are not uncommon when truth is learned. It's sad, and there are Christians trying to help.
As to your logic, may I recommend "On Liberty" by John Mills?
