Oh my God. I can't believe I have to keep being this guy.
I was raised Mormon, served a Mormon mission in Mexico, got married in a Mormon temple, left Mormonism shortly after, but still live with my wife and son here in Utah.
Let me put this very, very clearly: if there is anything like what you just described happening in the LDS Church, the only possibility is that it is occurring at the tippy, tippy top, and nowhere else. Period.
There is no doctrine in Mormonism that supports child molestation or cannibalism of any sort. At any level. And my family tree goes pretty fucking high in the LDS Church. If there were a hint or a whisper of anything like that going on in the church there would be a revolt so hard and so fast it would make your head spin. When it was discovered that a member of the Quorum of the 12 (top 15 ranking in the Church) had cheated on his wife and had molested his own daughter, TENS OF THOUSANDS of Mormons left the church and never came back.
This is a church of extremely well intentioned people who believe in God, who believe in Christ (despite your stringent dogmatic evangelical definitions--don't fucking get me started). They would not stand for this if they knew about it. Period.
The higher you go, the more I'd be willing to believe that at some point, the people in charge know it's a lie, and are pilfering the membership for their tithes, and for all I know some or all of them could be members of the cabal, but that would be a very small, very select group. This is a tight knit church where rumor circulates very quickly and aggressively. The rank and file of this church are good, hard working, Jesus loving, America loving, 1st and 2nd Amendment PATRIOTS. We can suspect the LDS Church leadership of involvement with the cabal without tossing out tens of millions of freedom loving pedes with the bathwater. Grow the fuck up.
It would not surprise me one little bit to learn that the Cabal has wrested control of the Mormon church at the tippy top. I have no evidence of it, but it wouldn't surprise me. But the rank and file...don't even fucking try it. Utah is the safest place on earth to live. Everyone here hates pedophiles, and while there are always cases like anywhere, it is simply not condoned. Is it covered up by family members who see pedophilia as a sin that can be overcome by Christ's Atonement and therefore try to handle it in the family and/or with Church leaders rather than calling the police? Yes. But that would be the case anywhere. It is not unique to Mormonism, at all.
Your Christian elitism literally makes me sick. Makes me ashamed to call myself at Christian at times if I'm being honest. But I, unlike you, refuse to throw the baby out with the bathwater.
The RC church? Tithing as a break from the Bible? I'm sorry I'm not quite sure what you're saying. Not being defensive, just literally not sure what you're saying.
10% of your entire income, going to a church that owns businesses including farmland in
Florida? And if you don't pay you're treated as a second-class priesthood holder, not able to go to the Temple to do rituals for the dead?
