Kash thinks Durham knew he would “take a missile” by bringing the Sussmann trial to DC, but thinks he wanted to make a point: “He used the Swamp to create this source of information for the public. Had he tried it in, ya know, Western Kansas, almost nobody would have paid attention. But even the mainstream media was forced to at least acknowledge the revelations in this case.”

If the entire plan was to get things into evidence and they didn’t care about Sussman being found guilty why didn’t they charge him with more to open up the scope.
It was glorious. Durham was able to establish the connection between Hilldawg and the Russia Russia Russia Hoax. It was sooo convincing that even Bill ( KFC Bucket of Chicken) Barr even stated on national TV that she appears to be guilty of Sedition. That's Huge, and it's only the beginning.
That didn’t answer my question though
Your original question is a good question. I can't get into Durham's brain, but my guess is that he had slam dunk evidence to get to a Grand Jury who would then return an indictment. My guess is Durham didn't want to over-reach but instead use this trial to bring out more evidence. He was able to get Hilldawg brought into the conversation as a person who Knew what was going on.
