I can't find the story about electricity prices going sky high in the past few months. Here's one from last year talking about expected spikes this year.

So wait until you get your electric bill, dumbass. And if you live in Virginia, wait until it costs you six to 10 times more to renew your tags for the special tax on electric and hybrid. Because the party that was encouraging everyone to buy those cars found out they were losing gas tax revenues.
