I've thought this too, and I've come to the conclusion that the blow back would be a million times worse than if it didn't exist. Think about it, they are just adding fuel to the fire at this point. It's a very shitty strategy.

But, you should take it a step further, it's not to placate us, it's to count us, log us, and then when their ready, come after us swiftly.
