A family member has gone cuckoo. He went into a store and threatened to shoot people. He said he was working for the CIA. Several hours later, this guy turned himself in to LEO. He's been charged with terrorism and hate crimes. This man is a veteran and went off his meds. My husband said he wouldn't doubt if the VA psychiatrist has been programing him. Thank goodness he's in custody and didn't shoot anyone.

geez... don't all cuckoo over it, it's just a word... https://www.etymonline.com/word/cuckoo
It's like saying that Grandma is "off her rocker", I'm being accurate and kind by rejecting "new speak" PC words like "in the midst of a mental health Emergency/Crisis" it's more words but it actually says less and is less kind to the person being described.
No one has a follow up question to "Grandma is off her rocker" , it's just understood, maybe some ask "well what happened?" but it's kind of like hearing your friends Grandpa died and was 101 years old, and you ask "how did he die?"
Your words actually imply the "emergency/crisis" as a "temporary" situation but ask anyone who knows about mental illness and they would find this lacking truth. "Leaving the reservation" or "falling off the wagon" are not words that [they] "SPELLED" but instead, I find to be very kind, humble, true words that don't tip-toe around the reality of the situation.
I'm sorry that I piled on you, you have to know your audience I guess. We've been dealing with many comments from infiltrators and your's was on that line.
Cheers.
I understand, it's all good. Love the meme's you post. Keep them coming!
