For those interested in buying gold as an investment, consider placer gold direct from the mining companies direct. I buy gold slightly below the spot price (placer gold is not 24K) 21k-23k. No surcharge for buying via credit cards like the big bullion and gold coin sellers.

Although placer gold is not 24K, it can be sold at close to the spot price to people who market paydirt. You can also market paydirt yourself. There are a lot of bloggers who buy paydirt from various suppliers and then review it, showing themselves panning it out etc.

The mine has the benefit of saving refining costs.

My order today came to 1787 Per Troy Ounce no surcharge for CC use and they will split payment so you can pay via several sources. Spot price is 1820.

Contrast that with a gold coin/bullion seller using direct wire for 1918 for 1 0z gold coin random selection, same coin 1995 via Paypal or CC. Bullion at same site. 1874 direct wire and 1949 via Paypal or cc.

I'm not affiliated with any companies, I got ripped off by a bullion company at 500 dollars. JM Bullion is JM Bullshit!
