not yet, but it's still on the agenda:) wanted to go back and start at the beginning of NT, so could compare as I go, think I'll have a better understanding that way. still working my way through Matthew.
To be reborn through our Heavenly Father, as we are born from the woman and become made in our parents image which is evil. But we must forgive them, and then God forgives - “In order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, we must forgive”
The first and greatest commandment is to love the LORD our God with all of our heart, soul, and mind (Mt 22:36-37). Adam and Eve had a free choice to obey God or not. Without the freedom of choice, what is love? Without freedom, we are programmed robots, following orders.
It’s like a human family. We are free to walk away from our family (and likely incur consequences), but it’s our own choice year after year to love the family and be part of it. Do we choose to love God or not? The Bible tells us how much God loves us (John 3:16, etc). How will we respond to God?
thanks for the reply and I agree, it's just like a family on earth, and President Trump and Q have really made that clear. it all used to seem so far away and distant, but now it's obvious how close God is.
for sake of discussion, if God knows we're 'evil', then what is our purpose? I'm trying to work my way through the Bible.
In our fallen state, in this evil world, there is no hope for us, except for that which Jesus Christ has done for us.
Believe on Him.
definitely, his words give me peace in this crazy world.
His words are life, Amen!
Have you read the Gospel of John yet?

He also knew Adam would sin but created everything anyway.
