Taking another look at the way PENCE is typed in all caps as well as a red background makes it look like it’s supposed to be a button. PELOSI does nothing, so the trap is sprung by triggering (pressing) the Pence button.

I really think Miller cried because Pence was going to sacrifice himself in the publics eye. It was his job.
