Why do we always need mental gymnastics?

Yes the gas prices are killing the common man, but the Patriots are doing it on purpose to show the people the DS corruption!

Yes crypto is crashing and ruining retail investors, but the Patriots are doing it on purpose to expose the central bank!

Yes the vax has killed/maimed your family, but the Patriots are doing it on purpose to wake everyone up!

Yes globohomo is running roughshot over our children, but the Patriots are the silent majority!

Yes there doesn't seem to be any justice for the criminals, but the Patriots are playing a longer game!

Sorry for the doom, but is there EVER going to be actual good news? Actual relief from financial/political/cultural destruction? Why do we constantly have to rewrite every story to sleep at night and protect our mental health?

Is good news actually coming, or are we really here to just to cope with the constant and hopeless decay?
