^ this.... cheapest gas gets more folks in the door.

Thats why rural stations with no/little competition are usually 20-30 cents more. Stations in higher populated areas, where there are stations (competition) everywhere are basically selling it at cost. They make their money on chips and cokes and candy bars.

And the price reflects what they will have to pay to refill their tanks
