Not a dental specialist or anything but I've had issues with my teeth and it looks like she had to have a tooth removed because her front teeth were packed too tightly together. When a tooth is removed and leaves a gap your other teeth will readjust their position due to the free space. This will make it possible for her to get braces. That's what I had to do to get my braces.
