I pulled my last tomatoes last weekend. Only thing growing now are sweet taters, watermelon and yard beans. I could grow gross okra in the summer for the pretty flower at least. Fruit trees are doing great and I have a litle nursery going with cuttings and seeds from the fruit. It took me a while to wrap my head around growing seasons in South FL. It's like not natural.
Too hot for mine where I have them place. They gave me maters from seed until the 1st of June. I'm happy with the experiment and saved a bunch of seeds. If you can string trellis them, I recommend it.

Can you grow apples and pears at least?
Best is a Meyer Lemon or a small fruit like a tangerine for inside. It will need a south facing window.
Some fruit trees can be grown in containers. You should also research into columnar fruit trees.
My friend has bought a bunch of fruit trees from this website and has had good luck. I personally haven't pulled the trigger on any fruit trees yet.

If you plant indeterminate types of tomatoes, they will bear continuously as long as the weather is warm enough. I've had tomatoes in December.
