The US needed to get out of that war months ago. The US civilian population is against it. And US "assurances" are causing the Ukrainian government to act in a way that does not facilitate negotiations. The west has a bubble on what nees comes out of Ukraine. It's a shit show right now and they aren't winning. The IS needs to rachet back instead of goading Russia into a nuclear war.
