Sporotrichosis (also known as “rose gardener's disease”) is an infection caused by a fungus called Sporothrix. This fungus lives throughout the world in soil and on plant matter such as sphagnum moss, rose bushes, and hay.
People used to die from tetanus after getting their fingers stuck on rose bush thorns too.
Even though I try not to very often, it is ok to go outside, from time to time. :)
That’s why we should all get very familiar with 100% pure gum spirits aka turpentine and other anti parasites treatment on a regular basis. Let’s see, Ivermectin? Wormwood, cloves, black walnut hull, etc etc
Parasites are for real but I’m not going to stop gardening and growing my own food these people are crazy
I wouldnt worry all of us are in dirt and filth all day every day and were all fine
I know, I'm just joking around adding fuel to the fire that is the OP's article's warning. If you do spend a lot of time around particulate matter or plant dust, it is a concern though as that stuff can do horrible things to your lungs.
The tetanus threat is for the most part over nowadays, but it wasn't that long ago you might have lost a sibling or a loved one to a fever or a cut/abrasion. We take a lot of things for granted as a society.
