I was just in Lebanon and talking politics with an Iranian sympathizer. Good convo that turned into the topic of many in Lebanon, not most, supporting the "de-dollarization" of their economy (US dollars).

He was surprised when I said that was a good idea. I told him I want a functioning economy where we have freedom and power to innovate and make things great again, not rely on being the new world empire. America is great because it recognizes, at least constitutionally and via the statements in the pre-amble, that we have inalienable rights. I'll take that and a functioning economy over being #1 economy and world superpower any day.
