All the 'for the earth!' crying somehow being put aside for the power (a quick search suggests this is about a constant ~200 MW) consumption for this abomination, but surely euro citizens should not be allowed to have heating or even hot water in their homes, like the lowly serf classes they are!

I think thats why it was built where it is, a defensible location if there are attempts to strike its facility and knock it offline.
