I have a similar train of thought.
I'm annoyed that I'm not smarter, but if I were smarter I would hate my fellow man even more. It must be a real struggle for people that are recognized as being geniuses.
You're smart enough to be here, and we all have our strengths.
I've always been considered smart but I work in a gas station. I like the fast pace of a busy day and the multi tasking, and dealing with people. I guess I'm smart enough to know i don't like working behind a desk lol. I love my job.
I use my gifts to make other people happy and that in turn makes me happy.
It’s pretty eye-opening the number of people I meet who think I (landscaper) should be working behind a desk at this point in my career like that is the ultimate goal. As if sitting on your ass in the a/c in front of a computer screen is the end all of professional advancement.
