More of this please, it is not that no one wants a cleaner planet but, unless there is a reliable and already set up infostructure to deliver it where and when needed first, stripping away everything being used currently is nothing but a disaster for all.
If Germany and the rest of the EU goes all in on Nuclear Energy... Russia may be bankrupted in the future.
The Russian economy relies on oil & natural gas sales for 40% of their GDP. Their biggest single customer is Western Europe, with China being 2nd & Turkey being 3rd.
If Russia's 1st and 3rd largest customers switch to alternative forms of energy and wean themselves off of Russian oil & gas, then Russia has a serious problem. Their sole remaining large market will be China, which will drive hard bargains. The smartest thing Western Europe can do is find all sorts of energy alternatives and alternate suppliers... but do NOT turn back on the oil & gas pipelines from Russia.
Not gonna happen anytime soon. Yes, total Petro volume will go down. But there are still many industries, and automobiles, that require raw FUEL, not just ENERGY.

I like my planets like I like my women...
Gretta will be furious!

That will glitch their programing.
