IMO as a teacher, rural districts and schools can be much better. As a patriot, I couldn't work in a school district pushing this CRT, Rainbow, gender crap.
IMO - parents in the classrooms would go a long way to turning the tide of this crap.
Also my opinion - There are good teachers who try hard to make the right kind of impact. Talk to your kids teachers. Ask them hard questions, and keep talking to them. They need support.
Last thing : I used to walk around our school in thr morning praying with a group of teachers for our students ( room by room ). I would love parents praying over the school everyday.
Yes, that is true of some towns, and places. You have more power in small districts. Go make yourself known at school. Ask... do you bring politics into the classroom ? how...
Quick personal observation from my town...
The students in my town have changed a lot. Remember when Biden fell up the steps? I laughed at a joke a student made. A different student lodged a complaint because I was anti Biden. Fast forward to this year... students were talking about how much they miss trump (meaning their parents support Trump / hate Biden).

These woke demons are here even in small towns. When Trump was in office one of the kids came home and told my friend that, "Trump is stupid."
When pressed as to where she heard this she replied, "in school from my teacher."
This is a town less than 6k population. Sad situation.

That warms my heart. Thank you for sharing.
Agreed. Parents in the classrooms would be GAME OVER for groomers of all flavors.
