They aren't bogus charges. The idiot thought she was so popular that they would overlook her bringing in cannabis vaping stuff. Besides that, she absolutely hates our country and won't even enter the arena until after the National Anthem is played. She does not deserve our sympathy in any way, shape or form.

I think she'd been bringing that stuff into Russia for the past 5 years or so and had absolutely no problems.
However, Griner wasn't paying attention to the changing political landscape and the Biden threats of sanctions and/or didn't realize those threats meant Russian airport security was going to increase enforcement.
