There will be war, according to Martin Armstrong who has a pretty good record as a prognosticator.

There are ways to destroy a majority - starvation usually works. Freezing in the dark while hungry just makes it go faster. A little terror helps.

Skilled mercenaries not needed, MS13 is enough for terror.
