Too many variables to know for certain. A small caliber bullet that doesn't cause an exit wound might not cause much bleeding.
I put a 30-06 into the heart of a deer at 100 yds, and was lucky to find 3 or 4 drops of blood. He was dead before he ran, and still managed several long leaps. There was very little blood where the deer came to rest.
Caliber...? It was a homemade gun. So probably 3/4" or whatever the metric equivalent is. Look at the pics. He had en electric ignition, so I'm guessing homemade shotgun type explosive with some metal balls.

Did he have a 3" exit wound ?
30 cal entrance only. Bullet exploded and totally destroyed the heart. After that I decided to use a heavier bullet.
