When you have time, dig on EVs. They are NOT what is being promised. Look for agencies who investigate auto claims.
It is another Rich Man's trick to remove money from the common people.
If you purchase one, it is too late.

Seriously, some of you need to get out and touch some grass. Right now you all are the horse and buggy guys laughing at the new horseless carriage. The gas engine is over a century old. Something was bound to replace it.
Lad, touch some grass? I dig in the grass. No I'm not living in the horse and buggy days although I have one of each. I also have a 1969 Fastback Ford Mustang with a Cleveland. A few more Classics, a old Ford truck, SUV, Sports car and none of them are new. I expect a lot from my vehicles, I can fix them, maintain them and play with them. Yes, I have alot of vehicles, but since they are considered old, my insurance is low. I take very good care of each one since they are irreplaceable.
Americans expect more from the EV technology and it is not where it needs to be.
In fact, the claims of performance are false. The stats they use come from a computer model. AI spits out a bunch of "facts" that do not consider AC use, Heat use, weight of passengers and luggage and if you are towing. The numbers of miles per charge is NOT correct. Reduce it down to 40% and that is the real mileage. The same goes with the amount of time it takes to charge. So, add to your time. Some of you are going to find out that if you take a 1000 mile trip you may have to stop ever 100 miles, and you're going to be really pissed off.
The whole idea of EVs is to separate you from your hard earned money and forbid you to work on it. They think we are stupid consumers and I am beginning to think there are far more than I thought.
The bigger picture will be higher insurance, higher taxes, more expensive repairs and replacing tires more often due to the weight of the batteries.
But if you want to depend on a machine which will record your every move and can be shut down, then go ahead. Be Stupid.
I use an EV as a commuter car. And my friend regularly takes long distance trips with his.1000 mile trips taking 10 stops and your real mileage being 40%? You are clearly out of touch with modern EVs. I blast my AC in mine as it's hot down here in the south. I have a daily 40 mile commute. Your math is just way off. But if you want to continue to pay $4-$6 for gasoline. Every increasing oil changes. And spread fake information. Be ignorant. You do you.
