Yeah... I made some efforts to start thinking without my inner monologue, and now I'm seeing trippy stuff when I close my eyes. It did that anyways, but now it's constant objects materializing and morphing.
It reminded me of this video I saw a month back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fDJXmqdN-A
I'm not sure if I'm getting visions, this is some sort of meditation, shamanistic vision-scrying, dream projection, or something else, but it's making it pretty hard to concentrate like "normal."
I know WHAT I'm seeing, but it's all just random stuff morphing into shape.
Are there any mediums or psychics that can give me some idea of if I'm crazy or figured out how to do the thing. How do I turn it off?
I've been doing some research into Project LookingGlass, as well. I think I understand how it works, it's freakin' nutzo bonkers, but my brain don't work gud right now so that post explaining why Twitter (and all Social Media) are literal weapons of mass destruction is gonna have to stay in the oven a bit longer, ya dig?
I've had that experience for most of my life. When my mind is in a good place, or even just an okay place, I have that vision of shifting and changing objects and colors when my eyes are closed. Sometimes it looks like outer space. When I'm in a bad place mentally, I see awful things. Dead bodies, demonic faces, etc. If you're seeing things that don't upset you, then I'd just roll with it. It can lead to some interesting observations and states of mind. It can be good for the imagination as well.
I talked to a therapist once about the dark images, and apparently it's common with OCD, like a form of intrusive thoughts. But the other types of images I think are just our brains expanding on things in our unconscious mind, like a waking dream.
I don't know if you can turn it off unless you just ignore it and focus on something else. If it bothers you, practice visualizing something specific in your mind. That helps for me, like turning the channel on a TV. Praying will also help.
Yes!
Exactly.
The latter are very grim looking things.
Yeah, that can be very upsetting. When it gets bad for me, I have trouble sleeping. The only thing that works is to practice visualizing something else to replace those images. Watch a movie in your head of something that makes you feel happy and positive.
Have you ever heard of Jerry Marzinsky? He has a YouTube channel. He's a former licensed psychotherapist and talks about how negative thoughts and emotions come from outside sources like demons or evil entities. It's pretty fascinating and has helped me a lot when I start having that problem. The entities will take advantage of our minds when they find a way to get in and will do whatever they can to make us feel bad and then feed off the fear and negativity. Check him out.
