Have a parent on fixed income that uses insulin daily. Due to the inflation and the increase in the cost of insulin, he’s having a harder and harder time affording it. $357 per month for just the insulin at Walmart when it used to be nearly free under trump. Anyone have any ideas on what he can do or where he could look to get a better price? I know this isn’t the typical type of post on this site, but I love him and want to help- and you guys are the smartest ppl I know

I've heard that if you ask a pharmacist if there are any ways to get a drug cheaper they can help you, but they're not allowed to offer you these options unless you specifically ask them.
It's a slimy game they play, I know, but it might be worth a try to see if you can get a better price.
I had him call his insurance today and see if they knew anything, and he just called and said they found him a different brand for $22 per month! It’s insane he has been paying such a high amount for the past year, but that’s the bullshit industry of big pharma for you. Thank all of you for your help
Glad to hear you found a MUCH cheaper alternative. They're content to let you pay outrageous prices so long as you're willing to put up with it.
